Venue 1

Faculty of Arts, Charles University; 25-28 June 2025

The Faculty of Arts, Charles University, is one of the largest and most important research and educational institutions in arts and humanities in Central Europe. The faculty was founded in 1348 by the Czech king and later Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV who established it as one of the four faculties of the Prague university, later named after him Charles University – the oldest university in Central Europe. Ever since, it has been the intellectual center of the Czech lands whose alumni have been shaping Czech society and culture by their deeds and ideas even at the most crucial moments of the Czech history.

Venue 2

Novotneho lavka; 25-28 June 2025

Novotného lávka is a series of historic buildings, former mills above the level of the Vltava on its right bank near the Charles Bridge.

It is located in the very centre of the city near by Faculty of Arts, 5 minutes walking distance.

Today, the original mill buildings are rebuilt and newly used as CSVT premises. The Vltava still flows under the buildings.

Venue 3

Municipal Library of Prague; 25-28 June 2025

The Municipal Library of Prague is one of the largest and oldest libraries in the Czech Republic, founded in 1891. It serves as a public library system with multiple branches across the city, offering books, digital resources, and cultural events. The library’s main building near Old Town is famous for its striking “Idiom” sculpture, a towering column of books with an optical illusion of infinity.

The conference will also feature lectures and screenings in the library’s cinema halls.
